From a simple chat to a life-changing journey.
We’re now 2 weeks on from that amazing launch at the first franchisee-owned 92 Degrees coffee shop in Birmingham, and things couldn’t have gone better.
“What started as a simple chat has evolved into an ambitious, multi-year plan. This is just the beginning – we have some incredible partnership news dropping over the next few months that we can’t wait to share. Thank you for trusting us as your first-ever franchisee and welcoming us into the 92 Degrees family.”
Even though 92 Degrees has been making a name for itself across dozens of locations for many years now, this is a major milestone for them as a franchise, and the excitement has been palpable. Everyone from the head office team has been personally involved in making this launch so special and it’s the perfect template for all future openings – not just for Simon and Sue, who are looking to open several more locations – but for everyone who will become part of this amazing brand.
As co-founder Gerard put it: “For the first time, a 92 Degrees Coffee location isn’t being run directly by us. It’s pride, nerves, and pure excitement all mixed together. A huge moment of recognition for the work our team puts in every day – building something truly worth handing over. And so thankful for our Damn Fine Coffee community for backing us from day one. It’s awesome to think of where we started to where we are now.
“This is where it gets really exciting.”
NOT JUST ANOTHER COFFEE SHOP.
Simon and Sue have been moving through all the key milestones you would expect when launching a new franchise – training and preparation, sourcing and outfitting a location, putting the word out about their launch, and welcoming their first customers through the door (plus Brewce the 92 Degrees mascot, of course!)
However, they’re adding a step you wouldn’t normally expect: putting out a call to local artists.
The 92 Degrees franchise offers a blueprint and template for what their coffee shops should generally look like, and there’s plenty of great branding to make every one stand out, but each individual coffee shop isn’t just a clone version of what they’ve done before. A big part of what makes this franchise so special is how much emphasis they put on making each branch part of the local community, and that means inviting locals to contribute to the look and feel of the place.
That means special events, music nights, and for Birmingham’s first source of Damn Fine Coffee™: some wonderful paintings from local artists to go on the walls.
We’ll keep you posted on what the local talent comes up with!
WHERE COULD A “SIMPLE CHAT” LEAD YOU?
Let’s find out! Click the button below to schedule a call so you can learn more about what’s involved and ask any questions you have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
P.S. Have you been following 92 Degrees on social media? It’s well worth your time as it’s a great way to get a feel for what the brand is all about, as well as keep up with all the latest news. Here’s their Instagram, and their main LinkedIn page, but I also recommend you follow founders Jack Brewitt and Gerard Bowers-McIntyre specifically so you can really understand the people and personalities behind the brand.
